Prince William and Kate Middleton looked fabulous yet again as they embarked on their first busy day of appearances. They kicked off the Canada Day celebrations in style and Kate certainly dressed the part. She again used a dress from her personal wardrobe -- this time it was the cream ruffled Reiss dress that she wore in her official engagement photos. (Shop Women's dresses at Reiss

The dress looked fabulous and she topped off the outfit with a dramatic Canadian red Sylvia Fletcher fascinator. She also had a classic maple leaf brooch, which we hear was on loan from the Queen's personal collection. It was first worn by the young Princess Elizabeth on her first trip to Canada in 1951. The personal touches are a touching sign of Kate's acceptance into the royal family. The fan shaped clutch was from the Anya Hindmarch collection. (Don't worry, it's already out of stock!)
For evening, the Duchess chose a simple, purple Issa dress and wore the same diamond Maple leaf brooch that she had worn earlier in the day. She and Prince William joined over 100,000 people on Parliament Hill for festivities celebrating Canada's 144th birthday, which included listening to music by the folk group "Great Big Sea".
